PostNL's dedication to precision drives its aspiration to monitor each stage of the logistics process for letters and parcels. Packages primarily originate from businesses, with the initial touchpoint occurring when customers generate shipping labels. This initiates the flow of essential data, encompassing sender and recipient details along with barcodes and specific delivery instructions. The package's voyage is punctuated by multiple scans during sorting, distribution, and transportation, generating a series of logistics events that paint a holistic picture of the journey. Collecting and correlating this data, approximately 15 logistics events are attributed to each package, capturing every movement.
